Purchased From : Springdale Tractor, NW Arkansas
Strengths
Enough power for the size, almost too much power for the weight, very dependable, eats very little fuel, gets around in tight places well.
Weaknesses Very jerky 3 point hydraulics. I wish I had a shuttle shift, was lead to believe that was what I was getting but didn't. The seat don't fit me very well.
Overall Over-all this is a real workhorse and will do the work. Sometimes I ask more than I should but it always does the job. But pay the extra and make sure they send you one with a shuttle shift.

Strengths What can I say, this tractor can do it all. Gas sipper, four gallons of diesel will fill her up. Small enough to get into tight spaces. Thought that the FEL may be to big for the tractor at first but I was wrong.
Weaknesses Jerky 3 point hitch. I have cleared 7 acres of woods with this tractor and the plastic has some holes in it. At times I wish I would have bought the l4400 but I quickly forget about it when I can fit into a small space
Overall For what I paid for this tractor, I could have not bought any other brand for the same money with the same Horsepower. I have to say I have really used this tractor hard and have had no problems. Awesome little tractor.

Implements : LA 463 loader
Purchased From : an Ohio dealer
Strengths Plenty of power. Starts and runs smoothly. Nice size for my property. Loader works nice. Power steering is great. Hydrostat works great.
Weaknesses PTO lever and cable cheap and flimsy. Jerky 3 point hitch (which Kubota doesn t seem to want to fix after 5 years in production). Step is weak. Toolbox is tiny.
Overall Nice overall tractor. Realize that there is probably no perfect tractor. This is my third Kubota. Not too big and not too small for my 11 acres. 3 POINT HITCH PROBLEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED BY KUBOTA. Had I known about the 3 point, might have looked at different model.

Implements : finish mower, tiller, post hole digger
Purchased From : Pytash Tractor Sales
Strengths I purchased my L3400 last fall. I currently have only 25 hours on the tractor. My implements include a Befco tiller, a Befco finish mower and a post hole digger. I got the industrial tires. I think they are a smart compromise between the conventional ag. tires and the turf tires, for my purpose anyway. My L3400 has the hydrostatic transmission, with which I am very pleased. I have had no problems of any kind yet.
Weaknesses I can identify only three weaknesses after my limited use of the unit. The first is the lack of a toolbox of any kind. The second is only my opinion and others may disagree. I find the single pedal(forward-backward)awkward. I would prefer two pedals as exist on many hydrostatic units. The third is a little too much plastic around the front of the unit. I anticipate it getting snagged and broken sooner or later.
Overall Everybody that I know who owns a Kubota tractor swears by them. I hope that I have a similar experience. A large part of my decision was the local Kubota dealer (Pytash Tractor Sales). After bad experiences elsewhere, I have found Pytash to be very honest and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Strengths Plenty of power, HST makes loader work fun. Comfortable operator station. Starts easily even in below 0 temps. Loader is very responsive and easy to operate. R4 tires and 4WD provide plenty of traction for grading and snow removal.
Weaknesses None really. 3-point lift is a little jerky, but I have gotten used to it so it's not really a problem. I wish the loader had more lift capacity, but it does OK.
Overall I love this tractor. I traded a JD 4300 that I was very unhappy with. (it was a lemon, and the dealer provided no help). My Kubota dealer gave me a fair trade and quickly came to my farm to fix the one small problem I had. (cylinder on the loader was leaking, they replaced it).

Implements : blade, shredder, gin-pole
Purchased From : Abilene New Holland Kubota
Strengths Starts in a heartbeat
Weaknesses The footstep is built for wee-little people, as in Leprechans or small folks from Japan... I'm 200 pounds and 6" and the footstep (and landing) strain and twist a little when I get on and off... Not that big of a deal... Just that Americans like me are porkers I guess :)
Overall Darned tough little workhorse. I'm basically doing a retraction in regard to my defective PTO problem as mentioned under the name KUBOTA UNLUCKY. My dealership in Abilene, TX jumped onto this problem Muy Pronto. I bought it on a Friday and Monday morning they had a serviceman out here from 45 miles away. He found a loose connection under the seat where the cable from the PTO lever (mounted near my right elbow) must have never been properly installed in Augusta, Georgia.
This Kubota is aggressive in regard to using the front end loader. It is exceeding my expectations. The 34 horsepower diesel engine and HST are better than expected and I am DELIGHTED I decided NOT to get a conventional gear/clutch tractor. I'm 57 and have arthritis and my 80 horsepower Case tractor is getting harder on my joints t shift and clutch. The Kubota HST is a GodSend!
I purchased a 6 foot Rhino shredder and the combo is working well in some tall pasture grass I have on my 40 acres. I use the 80 HP Case for big stuff and the Kubota for tight areas and for scooping cow dung... Very happy with the purchase and I'm glad I didn't go with the John Deere 3034. The Deere DID NOT have differential breaks nor did it have the folding Roll Bar. I need t park my small tractor in a spare shed I have, and the John Deere wouldn't go under and into the shed. The Kubota will.
The Kubota also looks to be a tad beefier than the John Deere.
I looked at the Kioti but it was a bit higher thant the Kubota, and I was also concerned about re-sell value of the South Krorean Kioti. Also, those South Koreans tend to go on strike, set stuff on fire when they are mad (and it seems they are MAD a lot) and the Japanese folks are very stable... thus the reason I stuck with the Kubota... Everybody loves these little Japanese tractors, including me. This is my 4th tractor...

Strengths IIIIIDarned if I know.
Weaknesses Mine has .5 hours on it, and the PTO will not work. Plus, the manual is in funky English, as if someone in Japan wrote the manual, and got his son in 4th grade to translate it into English... The logic sequence for engaging the PTO is odd also. They should have a "#1. Press the clutch down all the way. #2 Start the engine, #3. and so on...
Overall I've only pulled it off my trailer after a 48 mile drive home from the dealership... If and when I get to use it, I'll up date the review, but be advised, lot's of folks are upset about this funky PTO on the L2800 and L3400.

Strengths Great power. Very comfortable. HST is so easy and quick to use. I got the 4n1 bucket which opens up a whole new realm of possiblities.
Weaknesses Step is too weak. I am only 180 lbs and it torques the whole deck when I step up on it. The tool box is comical. Early reviewers of the l3400 complained about no tool box. The one they supply is tiny. One wrench and a pin and the thing is full. Go ahead and figure on spending 20 bucks to get a suitable box. That's it.
Overall I am very, very happy. In this economy I may lose my house but I will keep the tractor. You might see me dragging all my S@*$ down the road with my l3400 (wife included).

Strengths Nice Ride, good steering, LA463 loader handles all of my gravel and manure moving easilly. This unit is a pefect match for my EZ-on 11 ft post pounder. I fenced a mile so far and I love this tractor.
Weaknesses A little underpowered when trying to brush hog up a hill (have to shift down to low). The hoodlatch is placed so I keep ripping it off with fence post tie offs.
Overall This is my third Kubota and, as usual, it rarely gets a day off. I beat the crap out of it and it just wants more. Great machine.

Implements : Wood's RD 6000 finish mower

Strengths overall ease of handling, fit finish, metal hood and fenders, extremely fuel effecient,I use six tenths of a gallon and hour finish mowing or brush hogging on average.well spaced and comfortable operators platform.the tractor responds to me,not me to the tractor
Weaknesses the only weakness I have found is how quickly and easily I complete my chores.one of lifes great pleasures for me is to be seated on a fine piece of equipment, sometimes I truly just get finished to fast.a toolbox would have been nice, watch out for the 50 hour service it can be a bit pricey,$689.00 for me by the dealer with pick up and delivery. you might want to negotiate this up front.
Overall If anything happened to my Kubota today,I would have another one tommorow.I looked at green, blue and red.Kubota by far offered the features, value and financing that were important to me.I often sit in a chair in the tractor shed with a cup of coffee and look at our new tractor. I sometimes still find it hard to believe that it's our's.I traded my two older tractors that had seen thier better day's.Both were my dad's,one he had bought brand new 30 years ago.as hard as it was to let them go,I know up in heaven he's happy for all of us.
