It's where the optional turn signal bulbs go.

Yeah, the 4WD shaft rattle is gone now on the RTV900. That shaft was changed from a 2-piece design to a much better 1-piece design with CV-joints on each end. The RTV1100 had this 1-piece design from the beginning. The rear u-joints (outside propeller shafts) have not changed yet, but the RTV1100 has a slightly stronger version of it.

All units have an oil cooler on the RH side of the T/M. Only the Turf Utility model has the hydraulic cooling system i.e. bigger hydraulic tank and inline radiator (w/ fan) style cooler. It works extremely well...good thing, because those low pressure hydraulic tools can really heat up the hydraulic fluid.
on the back of your a-arms do you have the holes to mount them??
Yes, the lower a-arms are the same on the RTV500. However, the factory plastic CV boot guards are different dimensionally (smaller). So, it appears there is a clearance issue with the RTV500 suspension configuration and/or tires compared to

Wow, for those prices buying new seems like a no brainer. What's another $1,000 or less especially when you can get %0 financing?

I thought the left side tab came off at an angle like 30 degrees and the right side came off at 90 degrees. Hmmm. Also, a thicker gauge material will help as well but just make sure you compensate for the additional material thickness. Going over a 6 inch log should not case this problem...I have gone over much worse and nothing broke like that.

I would fab up a new tab and weld it on as well. Make it the same size/shape as the OEM tab...the key thing here is the angle of the tab when welded to the T/M frame. If the angle is off a few degrees it will put undo stress on it. I forgot what that angle is exactly, but PM me if I forget to reply with it on Monday.

These winches work good for the $...I installed 1 on a friend's UV and it does the job well.
